LAWRENCE ELLYARD

Lawrence Ellyard is a visionary author, speaker, and global leader in wellness, holistic health, and professional development with more than three decades of experience shaping the complementary therapies landscape. He is the founder and CEO of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists. He has authored nine influential books on Reiki, spiritual practice, and holistic business, with endorsements from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Dr. Masaru Emoto, and Sir Richard Branson, reflecting his impact on individual practitioners and broader wellness culture.

Beyond his organisational leadership and writing, Lawrence is a transpersonal therapist, Aikido Sensei 4th Dan, and ordained minister within the Spirit of the Earth Medicine Society. He lives in Byron Bay, NSW with his children and continues to champion the evolution of wellness through education, community, and innovation. He is also the executive producer of The New Woo, a documentary exploring how ideas once dismissed as “woo” are now shaping the future of health, healing, and human potential, bridging alternative practice and mainstream understanding.
